Vero all in to support customers through Auckland floods

Vero New Zealand has today received more than 300 claims relating to storm damage from the Auckland rain event, with higher than usual call volumes continuing to come directly through its customer lines.
The claims are across consumer, business, motor and corporate and it’s expected that these claims numbers will increase sharply.
Since Friday evening, Vero has had teams on the ground to assist customers with alternative accommodation and to assess and secure property. At this stage, most important is that people keep themselves safe. If customers need a Vero representative or urgent repairs are required, customers should call us immediately on 0800 800 134. Customers with non-urgent claims are encouraged to lodge their claims online at www.vero.co.nz/claims
Vero EGM Consumer, Jane Brewer says every available resource is being pulled in to assist customers through this event.
“This is a significant event, and Vero is making all of its resources available to assist customers. With more rain on the radar today for Auckland, safety remains the priority. Customers should ensure their own and their family’s safety first and contact their broker to lodge their claim.”
Brewer says Vero is bringing in extra resource from across the business to assist with processing claims.
To lodge their claim visit www.vero.co.nz/claims. Customers should also take pictures of any damage to assist at claims time but only if it is safe to do so.
